Two days ago (on wed), I decided to start counting how many calories I consume daily on my regular eating habits. I’ve been curious about how many I eat daily (mostly to make sure I am getting enough) but never wanted to put the effort to count because it doesn’t matter and it takes too much effort for me. But, I just decided to do it anyway. I originally wanted to do it by hand,...

dielikeasamurai asked: I'm eager to start yoga, but i'm kind of afraid to take a class and look like a fool (clumsiness). Would it be ok to start practicing on my own before attending a class? or should I face the possibility of humiliation and grin and bear it?

Anonymous asked: Can you lose weight at home? I have about 100 pounds to lose and I really want to lose 50 pounds at home first before going to the gym. Is it possible to lose that much at home doing workout videos, using an elliptical, and a cycling bike? I will also be eating more healthy. I'm just afraid that I won't lose a lot of weight because I'm not in a gym.

Earlier today I went into a local gym...
To see if the manager was there and had read my application that I turned in the other week and noticed 99% of the people in there were all doing cardio. Treadmills, bikes, whatever else was in there. Then I looked over at the weights areas and didn’t see anyone. I don’t have a gym membership and have never even been to a real gym, but I pictured how weird it’d look, me...

Reblog this if you are a fitness blog.
I’m wanting to find more fitness blogs than I already follow (which is like, 2) who post more things about gaining muscle rather than losing weight.

thefringedweller asked: I would seriously recommend adopting at least some aspects of an Ayruvedic lifestyle. The daily routine makes me feel fantastic: Arise at 6am, make warm water & lemon, eliminate, clean the tongue & teeth, use a Neti pot, massage your skin with seseme oil (plus essential oils specific to your body-mind type), have a warm bath/shower, perform yoga asanas, pranayama and meditation then start...

healthylivingforyou asked: I 100% agree with you about cow milk tasting disgusting. I can only drink it if it's like, really "fresh". (If you can even call just bought from the grocery store fresh.) It just tastes sour even after a day. I mean... It is kind of a weird concept that us humans drink another animal's milk, anyways... Haha. Almond milk is sooo good! I'm glad I'm not allergic to nuts...

thehealthyalmond asked: Do you drink soymilk? I can't buy almond, but I've heard soy milk is bad for you so I'm not sure if it's better than drinking skim milk?

The Calorie Myth
nopityfitness:
There is a commonly repeated, regurgitated yet FALSE idea being passed around mainstream fitness. That myth is:
“If you burn more calories than you eat, you will lose fat”
This. Is. Wrong.
Our bodies are not calculators. Hormones, genetics, what you eat and how you workout affect fat loss WAY more than how many calories you consume. Not only is there no accurate way to test...

Anonymous asked: After reading your personal page and doing my own research, I think I may have IBS. Has healthy eating and exercise completey gotten rid of it?

vegancandy asked: Have you done much research in the Ayurveda way of eating? I was recently skimming through this book "Yogi in the Kitchen," and it went over some of it. What are your thoughts on this, if you've looked into it at all?
