PS: the “fat burning zone” (about 60% to 70% of your maximum heart rate) doesn’t mean you’re burning more fat. It just means the body burns a higher percentage of calories from fat when in this zone. However, at higher intensities (70-90% of your maximum heart rate), you burn a greater number of overall calories.

Yes! Also worth noting is that many of the fragile enzymes and nutrients in produce begin their process of oxidation and deterioration once they are picked, so the fresher they are the more nutrients you will get out of them. Makes sense, right?

I actually think the farmers market apples (and other produce) look better. Whenever I see a big shiny red apple, I kinda get grossed out and throw it out.
